Minidose U8 inlays and tags are designed for the unique identification of a wide range of
smaller products. Specifically, Minidose U8 provides excellent performance when tagging
the smaller-sized items used in pharmaceutical and healthcare applications, including
syringes, plastic and glass vials, and many varied packaging formats.
These inlays and tags, equipped with NXP’s UCODE® 8 IC and a small form factor antenna
(12 x 22mm), are a globally available design with excellent broadband performance in the
860-930 MHz frequency range. They provide high read reliability and enhanced
performance, even when small tagged items are densely packed in close proximity.
Minidose U8 is approved for use in healthcare applications by Auburn University’s RFID Lab.
It is the first and smallest inlay in the market which complies with ARC Category S for
pharmaceutical applications. The product is available with the NXP UCODE 8 chip, which
has 128-bit EPC memory and is compatible with the global GS1 UHF Gen2v2 standard,
standardized by ISO/IEC as 18000-63.
